The words “be still” come from the Hebrew term raphah, which also translates to words like: cease and let alone (go, down).

So, in the midst of life’s daily race and bustle, “Stillness and Me-Time” is about letting go…surrendering and taking a little more time for you!

Why is this necessary?

Stillness equips us to manage stress.  While short-term stress can be beneficial, studies have shown that extended exposure to stress can have an adverse effect on our immune system and well-being. Essentially, the more balance we seek in our lives, is the less likely we are to be affected by stress.

And there is no better place to start than God’s Word.
